THE PREP IS KEY
All surfaces are thoroughly cleaned with the use of a pressure washer or hand washed with TSP and rinsed. Prior to applying the finish coat, all peeling areas are thoroughly scraped, sanded and spot primed with a high-quality, primer. Any gaps are caulked with a high-quality, energy-efficient 35-year caulk. Great care is taken to tape all glass areas prior to painting windows to keep a nice, neat line where the glass meets the wood of the window casing or sash.
When it comes to painting the exterior, great care is taken to ensure that no peeling paint chips or paint land on the sidewalk, driveway or bushes (we use a great deal of tarps and drop-clothes) prior to the actual painting.
